Our banking client is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect / Solution Architect with experience in Merger and acquisition projects


Duration 6 months

Location Toronto

Work Mode - Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the existing IT landscape, including systems, applications, infrastructure, and integration points .
  • Document the current state (As-Is architecture) for both merging entities, including identifying redundancies, gaps, and potential risks.
  • Analyze current portfolio of applications, systems, and technologies to understand their functionality, lifecycle, and business value.
  • Define the target IT architecture and design for the post-M&A organization, ensuring that it aligns with business objectives, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Design the end-state IT ecosystem, including system integration, cloud infrastructure, application portfolio, security, data management, and governance models.
  • Develop a comprehensive Target State blueprint that addresses system consolidations, harmonization of technologies, and alignment with best practices.
  • Help with the design and execution of the IT architecture strategy for the M&A process, ensuring alignment between the current and target state across systems, applications, and technology platforms.
  • Support to develop an architecture vision and roadmap for the integration, migration, and optimization of technology assets from both merging entities.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to define M&A goals, timelines, and technical requirements.

Must Haves

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience with application portfolio management, rationalization, and modernization, including cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Deep knowledge of systems integration, cloud architectures, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
