Our banking client is looking for a Senior HCL Commerce Architect to lead the design and implementation of the HCL Commerce v9 platform for an upcoming digital transformation project.

Duration 1 year

Fully remote role across Canada (must work EST hours)

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in architecting and implementing solutions using HCL Commerce v9.1+.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JSP, and CSS for developing robust e-commerce applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins for containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in SOLR and ElasticSearch for search functionalities and optimization.
• Advanced skills in Shell and Bash scripting to automate deployment and infrastructure management processes.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures and microservices environments.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, performance tuning, and scalability best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions using HCL Commerce v9.1+ for the client’s digital transformation initiative.
• Lead the full lifecycle of the project, from requirement gathering and architecture design to development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Java, JSP, CSS, and backend services with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.
• Oversee search engine functionality and optimization using SOLR and ElasticSearch.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Shell and Bash scripting for continuous delivery.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and ensure best practices in security, performance, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and availability.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging e-commerce trends and technologies to drive innovation within the platform.
