Senior level Active Directory Specialist to design, implementation of an upgraded Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and Active Directory Domai

Our Mississauga based Public sector Client requires the services of One Senior Active Directory Specialist to design, implementation, and testing of an upgraded Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

•Design and implement updated AD CS infrastructure on new servers and updated Windows Server operating systems

•Strategize and update signature algorithm on root certificate authority

•Update and design resilient certificate template configuration including CRL, OCSP, AIA

•Account for and mitigate impacts to web applications throughout upgrade process

•Design and implement updated AD DS infrastructure on new servers and updated Windows Server operating systems

•Plan and perform Active Directory server transition, considering any schema and forest/functional level upgrades while managing all associated downstream impacts

•Collaborate with other IT teams to gather application authentication requirements and Directory Services integration

•Plan and execute Active Directory consolidations, including domain migrations, forest consolidations, and restructuring.

•Lead testing and validation of both Certificate Services and Active Directory infrastructure

•Administer and support Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, Group Policy, and security settings.

MUST HAVE:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator.

•Extensive experience with Active Directory Domain Services and Active Directory Certificate Services.

•Proven experience performing AD consolidations, including AD domain and forest migrations.

•Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and related technologies.

•Familiarity with Microsoft Configuration Manager.

•Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Have:

•Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified:

Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or similar.

•Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

•Familiarity with cloud identity platforms such as Entra ID or Okta.
