Our valued Public sector client is in need of a Senior Project Manager to create Project Management artifacts for an implementation project in the Public Sector


Responsibilities:

  • Providing project planning and management guidance and advice to Management and staff;
  • Meeting with organizational stakeholders to identify business objectives and high level requirements as required to develop project charters and business cases;
  • Perform cost/benefit and impact analyses of proposed projects, including implementation plans.
  • Developing project plans including: project objectives; budget estimates; project team composition, roles and responsibilities; and terms of reference;
  • Using Microsoft Project to schedule and track project activities;
  • Report status and progress (deliverables, schedule, issues and budget) of projects on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle, and at any point when events affect the schedule/progress of the work;
  • Track project Change Requests;
  • Obtain project Sign-Off;
  • Conduct project Closeout Activities, including post mortems, development of lessons learned; and
  • Ensure that all project processes are documented and that project documents are appropriately archived.


Must Haves:

  • Experience creating Project Management Artifacts such as Project Charter, Project Management Plan, and Risk Issue Log


Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with COTS implementation
  • Experience with MS Power Platform
