Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid -Wednesday, Thursday (based on business needs)+ 4th Friday of every month
Office Location: Downtown Toronto (Financial District)
Interview Process: Potentially two rounds: 45 min panel interview focusing on skillset and fit for the team, 30 min interview with the Portfolio lead to assess fit
What project will this contractor be working on? They will be leading the delivery of assigned work-packages for a large enterprise wide regulatory initiative along with assigned PMO deliverables to ensure compliance with delivery frameworks.
Team Culture? Reporting to the Program Director, Enterprise Programs, as the Senior Project Manager. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within Enterprise Programs Delivery team. You will play a key role in delivering complex work-packages in a regulatory program. The role works with minimal direction, applying deep knowledge in their field of expertise to manage the delivery of project management practices and processes including reporting, project planning, and support activities

Who Will the Candidate Be Working with on a Daily Basis? You will have a high level of interaction with Business partners, Program Management Office colleagues, and with management of internal and external groups.
Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager is a seasoned expert responsible for managing the delivery of highly complex in-flight work-packages in a program through to the closure phase. The role works with minimal direction, providing expert level knowledge of program and project management principles, standards, and business consulting through considerable project delivery experience. The Senior Project Manager uses significant latitude to control projects, conduct status reviews, provide business guidance, identify any deviations to the integrated project plan, and recommend corrective action to mitigate potential issues. The role analyzes situations and data to prepare and deliver executive level presentations to keep management informed of project status, changes, and milestone achievements and proactively escalates risks and issues to the Program Director.
How you'll succeed
Project Management - Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs. Create a resource plan that ensures all stakeholders have a voice on the assigned deliverables. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by a team and provide guidance that will continuously improve the project plan.
Project Governance - Gather Project information across business, technology and vendors to provide a consolidated view. Manage and ensure adherence to approved budget. Ensure deliverables are aligned with Delivery Framework.
Financial Management - Possess extensive management of Project/Program Financials including Forecasting, Accruals and Actuals alignment.
Collaboration - Help internal partners make informed decisions and assess impacts based on interdependencies. Coach and mentor on project management practices as you work toward a common goal. Negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
Project Coordination - Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones; ensure they are completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk. Provide inputs to the PMO to ensure workstream level details can be included in an integrated program plan.
Communication and Persuasion - Share ideas, build consensus, and write with impact. Chair workstream level meetings and participate in program governance meetings.
Relationships - Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders.
Leadership - Possess extensive experience, training, and mentoring colleagues.
Must Have Requirement:
- 8-10 years' experience as Business PM
- Exp. managing project budget of over $2M+
Nice to Have:
- 3-5 years in managing regulatory programs
- PMP certified *strong nice to have
- Experience within FI
- Planview experience
