Description
Our valued Public Sector Client requires a Senior Secret Cleared Project Manager to provide support on multiple on-going large-scale Cyber Security and Cloud Transformation initiatives within the Public Sector
The resource will be working on all aspects of the business required to deliver on the client's Cyber Security and Cloud Operations mandate for itself, its partners, and its clients. The Government of Canada (GC) is continuing to make great strides in becoming a digital first organization, with our client being instrumental in making this a reality.
Our client's key objectives:
- Ensuring the Government’s network is secure, fast and reliable.
- Providing public servants, the digital tools they need and that support a modern workplace.
- Helping to ensure the health of government systems and the modernization of applications by moving data to the Cloud or modern data centres; and enabling government-wide transformations through the creation of standards, revised services, and a new funding model.
The Level 3 Technical Project Manager must have a strong background in cloud design and security, and its related requirements definition in order to oversee the implementation of common infrastructure for our client.
Must Have:
- 5+ years executing projects using Agile delivery methodology and establishing Agile principles
- Prince 2 Certification
- ITIL Certification
- Secret clearance
Nice to Have:
- Certified Cloud Security Professional
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
- Managing Successful Programs (MSP) Practitioner
- Prince2 Agile Practitioner
- Certified Cloud Security Professional
- Certified Information Security Professional
Tasks:
- Determine and manage milestones, costs, deadlines, risks, accountabilities and critical factors.
- Develop and maintain Risk Registers
- Provide leadership, and a holistic vision in the development of the strategy for an integrated architecture including ‘future state” definition and the development of critical success factors.
- Lead multi-disciplinary matrix organized teams.
- Track and monitor project deliverables. Provide reports on project progress and accomplishments and submit recommendations to resolve issues. Follow up with the teams and moves the project forward.
- Ensuring that the architectural design and documentation at a system or sub-system level is completed with its associated deliverables.
- Assist on all service requests related to architecture and infrastructure issues, and to ensure that operational processes are fully implemented in the design, build and operation of new systems.
- Address issue and change management, determine impact of changes against project plan/schedule and maintains overall control of the schedule.
- Provide support to project teams for the preparation and review of solution-specific architecture and design deliverables, ensuring that processes are implemented.
- Coordinate activities to carry out project post implementation reviews and on-going support to identify improvements in technologies, tools, and processes.
- Plan and coordinate IT security projects.
- Lead/conduct cost/benefit analysis and/or business cases to determine project feasibility with various stakeholders.
- Manages tasks to ensure quality, mitigate issues and risks.
- Lead and or contribute to client updates and Technical Solution Architectural Meetings.
