Description
Sr. Backend Java 8+ (Hibernate/Spring) Developer using JDBC to create server-side apps and REST/SOAP web services/APIs for an insurance client - 824
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Hybrid (Toronto/Montreal) 2x in office, no exceptions
Description: We require a resource with strong Java back-end experience to lead build efforts of several core application services.
Must Haves:
- 8+ years exp as a Java 8+ (Hibernate/Spring) Developer building server-side apps using JDBC
- Creating web services or APIs using REST and SOAP.
- 8+ yrs exp with relational databases (Oracle 12+, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch)
- 5+ yrs Java 17/21, Spring Boot exp
Nice to Haves:
- Previous Insurance exp
Responsibilities:
- Be part of a high-level multidisciplinary team
- Solve complex problems and challenges
- Help the team progress by taking part in design, code and security reviews
- Participate in different Agile/Scrum meetings
- Integrate a high-performance work environment that promotes autonomy and contribute to a warm and friendly work environment
- Lead several refactor efforts on legacy applications.
- Requires strong Java back-end and front-end development experience.
