Sr. CCI Amazon Connect Operations Engineer to ensure infrastructure security within a large insurance client - 5162

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Location: Remote (Waterloo/Toronto)

This role will focus on improving the security posture of our infrastructure within our cloud environment. This role will require the candidate to collaborate cross functionally to make design/strategy decisions and advocate for security improvements with all teams utilizing our environment. This role will be in partnership with our Cloud Engineering and Operations team. The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of AWS Infrastructure and Security, development skills and a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure needed to address security, stability, and supportability of services

Must Have Skills:

• 3-5 years experience in AWS Security (e.g. IAM, VPC security, KMS)
• Hands on support and development experience with AWS Connect
• Experience with Active Directory
• Being able to review a platform change for infrastructure security concerns
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS): Connect, DynamoDB, S3, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, etc.

Nice To Have Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant, proven industry experience
• Banking/Finance Industry

Job Responsibilities:

• This position is required to ensure that the AWS roles and permissions for our new infrastructure meet the stringent security requirements within Contact Centres infrastructure to allow for proper support of the product.
• Review of current configuration and settings of AWS services, in multiple instances, and recommendations for managing new services configurations.
• Work with the Cloud engineering team, IT business partners to create proper IAM roles for specific teams use cases
• Ensure proper policies and AD groups are in place
• Configure AWS Secrets Manager, and document all changes.
