Sr. Project Manager with experience as a Business Analyst to implement SailPoint with our higher education client - UOT202417155

Duration: 3 - 4 years (37.5h/week)

Location: Downtown Toronto (3x/week)

Background:

The client's Information Security Department is undertaking SAILPOINT Implementation which is part of the broader Identity and Access Management (IAM) program and whose goal is to establish the foundations of the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).


Must haves:

  • 5+ years as a project manager, managing large-scale and complex IT transformation projects
  • 8+ years as a business analyst gathering and documenting business/technical requirements
  • Experience implementing SailPoint and other Information Security platforms
  • Experience with SharePoint tools (creating lists and dashboards)
  • PMP

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with managing Security Awareness & Training program or Vulnerability Management program

Reponsibilities:

Main assignment: SailPoint Implementation project

Secondary assignments:

  • The following additional ad-hoc projects or tasks may be requested from the PM, as the workload for SailPoint implementation is estimated to three days a week:
  • Contribute to the project management framework developed for the Information Security team and train/coach the team to foster projects delivery;
  • Support the third phase of execution of the Security Awareness & Training - Foundations project by doing the following:
  • Track deliverables
  • Identify and track issues and escalate resolution as required
  • Identify, assess, track and recommend mitigation strategies to manage project risks
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Prepare and present high quality slide decks to steering committee and Customer Advisory Group
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess project’s success, including conducting lessons learned exercises
  • Support a new project within the Vulnerability Management program whose goal is to improve reactiveness from units to remediate vulnerabilities. Tasks will include:
  • Manage projects through their entire lifecycle (e.g. initiation, planning, execution, closure), which includes, but not limited to:
  • Develop project plan (scope, goals, timeline, tasks, required resources, deliverables…)
  • Coordinate and manage project team
  • Manage budget
  • Track deliverables
  • Identify and track issues and escalate resolution as required
  • Identify, assess, track and recommend mitigation strategies to manage project risks
  • Support and direct team
  • Lead quality assurance
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Prepare and present high quality slide decks to various committees and stakeholders, including steering committee
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess project’s success, including conducting lessons learned exercises
  • Assist project team in writing documents (e.g. privacy notice, communications note, project webpage)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members
  • Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with the project mandate
  • Conduct interviews with business and IT stakeholders, take detailed notes and share with the team
  • Seek input from the business by facilitating sessions
