Sr. Solution Architect to integrate core systems in an IT/OT landscape for our public sector client - RQ00093

Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days a week onsite

Duration: 5-6 months (possibility of extension)

Project Details:

• This is a role to fill a gap to build a new critical integration. A two-way integration is needed between core systems and is required to be available for testing in January. This is the first step into building IT/OT capabilities within the I&IT team. The resource brought will need to have solutioning experience in an IT/OT landscape as well as to be able to take on building of the interface itself.

Responsibilities

• Specifies and implements portions of solution architectures including software and data interfaces
• Specifies and negotiates the interfaces between our systems and third-party systems e.g. CN
• Develops, implements, and manages solutions in a large and distributed environment with a focus on re-usable components.
• Actively monitors the solutions.
• Acts as the Subject Matter Expert understanding interactions between all components.
• Clearly articulates the requirements, limitations, and quality level of solutions.
• Defines the interactions between applications, databases, and middleware systems.
• Provides recommendations on standards for IT/OT technologies.

Must have skills:

• 5+ years' experience with operational environments including IT/OT technologies.
• 5+ years' hands-on database technologies experience including SQL (Oracle), NoSQL (Mongo), programming languages (C#) and communication protocols (REST)
• 5+ years' experience with middleware and API gateways, JSON, and XML
• Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables e.g. models and documentation leveraging tools such as BlueDolphin or Archi
• Experience in the use of data and process modelling methodologies, techniques and tools, including a working knowledge of metadata structures, repository functions, and data dictionaries
• Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models)

Nice to have skills:

• Skills with data integration and analytics tools within Azure Cloud including ADF, Data Lake, SQL DB, Databricks
• Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies, processes, and practices
• Experience leading multi-tier application infrastructure design, documentation, and configuration for medium or large corporate implementations
