In this position, you will :
- Manage the entire payroll process (entry, verification, validation and issue of payrolls) via Nethris, UKG and SAP systems.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts for payroll, social charges, benefits and expense reports
- Process and track payroll adjustments (vacation, vacations, banked hours)
- Prepare and transmit government documents (DAS, Records of Employment, CNESST, T4, etc.)
- Manage and track employee benefits (group insurance, RRSPs, etc.)
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries in Excel and import them into SAP
- Work closely with the Finance and Human Resources departments
- Carry out various statistical reports and assist in the preparation of related files such as year-end reports
- Answer employees' questions regarding their compensation and deductions
- Help prepare salary and benefits forecasts and budgets
- Support and train managers in the collection, validation and interpretation of payroll data (hours worked, absences, bonuses, etc.).
- Participate in the continuous improvement of payroll processes and the optimization of existing systems.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of payroll data.
With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- College diploma in administration or accounting and management techniques
- 5 years' relevant experience in a similar position
- Relevant experience in a unionized work environment
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. Nethris, UKG, SAP, or other)
- Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset)
- Good analytical skills
- Comfortable using computer tools, mainly Excel
- Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality
