Description
Bon Accord Community School offers K-4 programming and is located approximately 20 minutes north of Edmonton in the Town of Bon Accord. The school has a student population of roughly 240 students and a dedicated teaching and support staff working together as a team to provide exemplary education to all students. The school nurtures a safe and caring environment by offering various programs to encourage strong leadership. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.
FTE: 0.5 FTE; 3.25 hrs/day; Part-Time Temporary
Initial Assignment: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom.
Qualifications & Experience: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate; experience working with Autistic children is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference is given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Must be comfortable with toileting/diapering. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.
Hourly Rate: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
