Sturgeon Public Schools is currently recruiting for a Permanent Part-Time Finance Clerk to work at multiple locations throughout the School Division. The Finance Clerk will aid with the fiscal operations of the school for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reporting to the Principal, this role contributes to the day-to-day financial operations of the school to ensure effective and responsive delivery.

The duties of this role include but are not limited to:

Add, collect and apply school fees to student accounts

Create bank deposits and take funds to the bank

Code and enter invoices into Invoice Entry Web

Collect, code and enter credit card expenses

Assist school staff with finance related questions

Maintain financial records for the schools

The successful candidate requires a high school diploma. Post secondary education in Accounting or one year work experience in a related field is preferred. Good interpersonal skills, professional etiquette and strong computer skills are required. A valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle is required, as public transportation is not available.

The schedule for this position includes 1 day/week at Redwater school, 1 day/week at Legal Public School and 2 days/week at Lilian Schick (28 hours/week).

The rate of pay for this 10-month position is between $18.82 and $23.57, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
