Sturgeon Public School Division is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Temporary Junior High Humanities Teacher to join the team at Redwater School.

Located in the Town of Redwater, the school offers a unique small-town environment and serves approximately 300 students from grades 5-12. Approximately 30 staff work together as a team to provide exemplary education for all students. Redwater School embodies a well-rounded philosophy in education through arts, academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, and citizenship. Community spirit energizes the hallways encouraging students to “Make a Difference” while pursuing their unique paths to success.

FTE: 1.0 FTE; Full-Time Temporary

Qualifications:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Training and background teaching Junior High Humanities

Experience teaching Junior High Social Studies and English Language Arts

Experience teaching CTF/options would be an asset

Experience with Specialized programming and creation of Individualized Program Plans would be an asset

First Aid and NVCI training (Non-violent Crisis Intervention) would be an asset
