Description
Job Purpose
As an Intern, you will be working in one of the following departments: Sales, Product Management, Business Development, and/or Marketing. The winter term begins January 6th, 2025 and will conclude on April 4th, 2025.
Responsibilities
Sales Intern:
- Assist with the entire lifecycle of sales accounts, ensuring accurate and timely entry of sales orders and regular updates to account information
- Perform targeted research using various databases to gather data on leads, market trends, and competitors, compiling findings into comprehensive reports
- Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving sales documents, ensuring all records are current, accurate, and compliant with policies
- Coordinate call-out campaigns to collect customer feedback, analyze responses, and summarize findings in detailed reports
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Credit, Customers, Traffic Specialists, and Customer Service to align efforts, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction
Product Management Intern:
Proactively work with vendors, sales teams, and resellers to ensure smooth information and sales flow
Assist the Product Management team in creating presentations, handouts, newsletters, and other marketing materials
Provide market and customer research, including trend analysis, competitor sizing, and pricing research
Support department organization, file management, and process coordination
Participate in special projects such as market profiling, pricing analysis, and customer list management
Business Development Intern:
- Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and align with business objectives. Contribute to increasing revenue and profitability
- Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams and cost-saving opportunities to boost overall profitability
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to devise strategies that increase market penetration and share
- Leverage product knowledge to recommend complementary products and solutions, enhancing reseller sales
- Organize and lead training sessions to equip sales teams and resellers with the necessary skills and product knowledge, while fostering long-term partnerships through regular communication, support, and collaboration
Marketing Intern:
- Collaborate on creating comprehensive marketing plans, business development decks, and compelling sales presentations
- Monitor and update social media channels, create engaging content, and implement social media optimization initiatives to drive traffic and generate digital leads
- Craft and execute creative campaigns to boost brand visibility and engagement across various digital platforms
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Assist in organizing and promoting events, webinars, and other marketing activities to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Able to complete a 12-week program at 40 hours per week beginning on January 6th and ending on April 4th
- Must be a rising senior currently enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of the internship. Only students from colleges or universities in partnership with TD SYNNEX Canada are eligible
- Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in starting a career in Sales, Product Management, Business Development, and/or Marketing
- Demonstrated business communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to converse with customers effectively over the phone
- Proven interpersonal skills and the capability to learn, apply, and present sales principles/techniques within a short timeframe
- Advanced computer skills, capable of multi-tasking and working on multiple sales accounts concurrently
- Must be numbers and detail oriented
- A high degree of ethics and integrity is essential
