Job description
TEMPO School in Edmonton is seeking a temporary 1.0 FTE Junior-Senior High STEM / Mathematics teacher, commencing August 27, 2024. STEM focus is in Robotics and Computer Science.
TEMPO School is an independent, provincially accredited, K-12 day school with a student population of 500 students. The school has a traditional, academic focus with small class sizes, uniforms, and high standards of teaching.
All interested applicants must:
- Be in possession of, or eligible for a valid Alberta teaching certificate
- Be comfortable teaching in a traditional, academic environment
- Have an excellent command of oral and written English
- Have strong knowledge of Math 10-1, 20-1
- Have strong knowledge of STEM courses in Robotics and Computer Science -Jr/Sr High
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be comfortable writing curriculum materials as required
- Be willing to work as a team with other teachers
- Be able to motivate students to reach their full potential
