The Orange Apron Media (OAM) program is the vendor sales arm of the digital marketing team, connecting our vendor community with data-driven digital media solutions to reach in-market DIY customers and Pros. The ideal candidate is looking to tackle new challenges and build business acumen through the development and productization of innovative offerings. This role will allow you to carve your own path while delivering a superior program that is based on insights, innovation, transparency, and trust.
Position Overview:
The Manager, Business Development & Ad Success plays a key leadership role in driving the success of the digital media sales process and the operational needs of self-serve vendors within the Orange Apron Media (OAM) ecosystem at The Home Depot. This position focuses on enabling vendor success through hands-on training and data-driven insights to maximize their retail media investment.
In this role, you'll guide the sales process by understanding vendor needs and collaborating with marketing and planning teams to create tailored sales materials. You’ll lead consultative sales conversations, recommending the best OAM advertising solutions-whether managed or self-serve-that align with each vendor's objectives. While not directly responsible for campaign creation, you will oversee operational support throughout the campaign lifecycle to ensure a smooth process.
This external-facing, collaborative role requires building strong vendor relationships and acting as a trusted advisor. Additionally, you will develop and distribute key marketing materials, such as webinars, pitch decks, and presentations, to support both internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will excel at balancing digital media sales expertise with operational support, fostering cross-team collaboration, and ensuring seamless vendor experiences and campaign success.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Presentation:
• Sell and present the Orange Apron Media (OAM) offering to vendors.
• Apply a consultative sales approach, including asking RFP-related questions to vendors.
• Develop and own the sales funnel, aiming to hit or exceed sales targets.
• Stay informed about evolving sales tactics and opportunities to productize new offerings.
• Invest time in learning Salesforce and staying current on retail media best practices and industry trends.
• Present engaging marketing materials, such as webinars and event presentations, to generate interest in OAM programs.
Vendor Relationship Management:
• Manage external relationships, ensuring vendor success from onboarding to campaign delivery and reporting.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing hands-on support and fostering strong vendor relationships.
• Advise on the appropriate use of digital media tactics based on vendor goals and stages of the sales funnel.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, planning, and creative) to develop tailored sales materials and execute successful campaigns.
• Build strong relationships across functions to facilitate campaign execution and problem-solving
• Provide operational support for Self Serve vendors throughout the campaign lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and vendor satisfaction.

Minimum Education:
• University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of marketing or media experience (retail, agency, tech, publisher, or similar)
• Previous experience in, or exposure to marketing disciplines, including but not limited to media strategy, campaign activation, creative, or marketing strategy and analytics
Minimum Leadership Experience:
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in sales, marketing or media

Other Requirements/Assets:
• Retail industry experience is an asset
