Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Project Manager will work collaboratively on key projects with the Medicine and Cancer Care programs at Scarborough Health Network. The primary projects will include:
    • the development and implementation of Ambulatory Systemic Treatment Model of Care: Health Equity Project
    • the evolving expansion and sustainability of the Scarborough SCOPE Program with Primary Care.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and implementation of these programs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage and work collaboratively with the team and key community partners on design and implementation of projects that includes the development and execution of operational work plans, design and sharing of reports, preparation of stakeholder engagement meetings and communication, regular data collection and validation, preparation of presentations and scorecards and management of the overall project.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators and reporting to ensure action planning meets project goals and deliverables in conjunction with any other regional and/or provincial reporting authority that may be required to determine performance and work plan results; produce dashboards/reports indicating performance and work plan activity.
  • Coordinate and facilitate working groups, quarterly meetings, advisory committees by developing drafts of meeting agendas, materials and presentations, follow up on action items, issues and responses, as required.
  • Prepare timely, accurate and comprehensive briefing notes, project updates, promotional materials, internal/external correspondences and other executive documentation related to project planning, management and reporting, track, provide support, organize, and ensure timely data collection and submission of stats;
  • Organize and conduct stakeholder and health service provider engagement initiatives
  • Facilitation communication and marketing strategies

Requirements:
  • University Degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration or equivalent, Master’s degree in related field preferred. A combination of equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
  • PMP certificate preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in project management
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare clinical setting
  • Ability to plan and implement engagement meetings and resolve issues/concerns.
  • Facilitation skills to develop and conduct meetings with multiple stakeholders and service providers.
  • Project management skills to plan, develop work plans and lead concurrent projects, to work collaboratively with partners and other team members and to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
  • Exceptional time management skills. Must be able to work independently to manage project in order to meet deadlines
  • Sound written and verbal communications skills to write presentations, reports, business notes, etc. is required
  • Computer skills with hands-on capabilities in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated understanding of local health issues, priorities and needs while recognizing the broader trends in health care policy and system development required.
  • Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to build positive working relationships with partners, influence decision making and adoption of change initiatives.
  • Experience in data analytics, epidemiology and information synthesis; knowledge of health care reporting requirements and funding methodologies, knowledge/familiarity with various databases used to capture information in the primary care sector.
  • Good work and attendance record are required.
