Key Accountabilities Reporting to and under the direction of the Coordinator Privacy, Compliance and Risk Management, this position will work within the ICT Services Division and is responsible for supporting privacy, compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity initiatives.Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive privacy, risk management and cybersecurity programs based on industry-recognized frameworksMonitor compliance for adherence to security, privacy, legal, and technical standard requirements according to industry practices, regulations and expectationsSupport and manage the delivery of the security and privacy awareness program to stakeholdersProvide support and advisory services, and provide assistance in improving processes and practices in privacy, compliance, risk management and security awareness programsStay updated on legislative changes and assist in ensuring the Board's compliance with new requirementsCollaborate with business units and stakeholders to integrate privacy and cybersecurity measures into all technological initiativesAssist in managing and responding to requests for information under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), ensuring compliance with MFIPPA requirements, and overseeing the protection of personal information held by the BoardAssist in providing internal consultation services to assist with the management of breach response and reporting to the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) of Ontario in event of privacy breaches or any privacy related matters in accordance with regulations Perform other duties as assigned or requiredRequirements A post-secondary degree from a recognized university or college degree in information privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of two (2) years of experience in privacy, cybersecurity, compliance and risk management Relevant privacy, cybersecurity, and/or risk management certifications such as CIPP-C, CISSP, CRISC or equivalent are an assetDemonstrated experience supporting the development and management of privacy, compliance, risk management, cybersecurity, and security awareness programs in a complex enterprise environmentDemonstrated understanding of security and privacy legal and regulatory requirements Demonstrated understanding of NIST and ISO frameworks, CIS Controls, SOC 2, CSA, MITRE ATT&CK standardsFamiliarity with security architecture and cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM/XDR and SOAR, firewall technologies, IPS/IDS, endpoint protection such as EDR/XDR, email security, web gateways, identity and access management, authentication (MFA), vulnerability management, penetration testing and threat hunting, data-loss prevention, encryption, networking concepts and technology solutions including TCP/IP, DSN, wired, wireless and SD-WAN, cloud-based security solutions and platforms such as SSE/SASE and CASB, remote access solutions (VPN and ZTNA), Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), security awareness software, Unix/Linux and PythonDemonstrated excellent communication, critical thinking and program delivery skills with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Demonstrated ability to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of comprehensive privacy, risk management and cybersecurity frameworks and programsAvailability to work outside core office hoursPlease Note: This position will require the incumbent to be available for on call work and must be flexible to work after hours including evenings and weekends. A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle is required for travel to Board and non-Board sites (eligibility for mileage reimbursement).
