With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is accepting applications for the position of Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.

Work Year: School Year Plus Six (6) Working Days
Positions available: 100% Contract commencing immediately until April 1, 2025, with possible extension to July 3,2025
CRITERIA FOR AN INTERVIEW ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification or currently enrolled in Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Verified Course Sequence and collecting supervised experience hours from BCBA
Master's degree in education, psychology, behavioural analysis or related discipline preferred
Minimum two (2) years related experience in supporting students and/or young adults with
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) applying ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) methods
Proven expertise in working with school aged children and young adults with ASD
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups as a team
Experience in providing staff training and consultation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Must possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle available to use for travel within the Greater Toronto area ( eligibility for mileage reimbursement)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to and under the direction of the Chief of Autism, the primary function of the job is to provide support to improve the capacity of school teams in providing skilled support to students with ASD through training and professional expertise. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Provide job-embedded professional development for school staff to extend their awareness and use of ABA strategies, functional behavior assessments and the effective use of related resources to support students with ASD
Work with the school board's Project Coordinator to help support ABA training modules and Professional Learning Community (PLC) for support staff
Provide school-based behavioural consultation and/or assessment regarding behavioural strategies and interventions for students with ASD
Work with TCDSB staff to help build ABA capacity within the system and support a deeper understanding of Policy/Program Memorandum (PPM) No. 140
Work with Project Coordinator to liaise with external ABA providers to develop alignment of supports and programs provided within school settings with those provided in dedicated space
Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Please note that the position requires direct contact with school children, and all participants must be practicing Catholics verified through a pastoral reference letter from your parish priest.
This is an A.P.S.S.P. union position with a salary range of $68,696.58 - $108,040.11.
