Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Clerical Supervisor to join the Chemotherapy team at Richmond Hospital. Apply today to join our team!

As a Clerical Supervisor with VCH you will:

• Supervise three (3) to ten (10) designated staff.
• Oversee the coordination of clerical workflow such as:
  • scheduling and coordinating orientation and staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
  • supervising work activities and establishing work priorities.
  • conducting performance evaluations in conjunction with the Manager and/or Administrative Manager/Coordinator.
• Assist with meeting clerical support service needs by responding to workflow or procedures enquiries.
• Reviewing and revising policies and procedures, setting up protocols for methods of operation, and coordinating the implementation of and training in new work methods and/or systems.
• Maintain departmental levels of clinic supplies and performs accounts payable functions.

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 plus three years' recent, related experience including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
