Position Summary
To provide day to day support functions to enhance the effectiveness of WHC programs.
Staff Scheduling
- In collaboration with the team leader develops and maintains a regular schedule for all full, part time and casual staff and/or volunteers.
- Communicates the schedule and ensures that the schedule remains current.
Inventory Management
- Regular ordering, stocking and reconciliation of supplies.
- Maintain supply and resource storage spaces.
- Troubleshoot supplier issues
- Product research
- Inventory
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintains an inventory of program related equipment
- Provides regular equipment maintenance checks according to manufacturer instructions
- Reports equipment issues to the Team Leader or Director for action
Evaluation Support:
- Collate statistic information for reporting
- Compile program participant feedback data
- Assist in other evaluation activities as required
Program support:
- Contact and respond to community members and program participants regarding programming, groups and appointments
- Assist in maintaining client records
- Organize and maintain program files and resources
- Room booking and set up as required
- Distribution and stocking of resources as required
- Reconciliation of invoices and packing slips
Position Specific / Initiatives
- Coordinate receipt and distribution of home birth and visit equipment
- Act as a birth registrar and courier birth/death registrations to Vital Statistics Agency
- Orient and train new BCAs, midwives and students, on role of program and birth centre assistant
- Support Midwifery Services (as BCA/reception) as required
Education/Experience
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
