Employee Profile - Arlette Rosy Leche Massoh, Web Developer

Specialized in back-end development and holding a master's degree in software engineering, Arlette Rosy Leche Massoh joined our team as a PHP developer in September 2021. Let's meet her to learn more about her journey and experience with us.

In a few words, how would you describe your role and your daily routine?

My days as a web developer require a lot of logic, responsiveness, and attentiveness to complete and reuse the functional and technical specifications of elements designed by other stakeholders (such as graphic designers, project managers, copywriters, etc.).

Once the game plan is well defined, we move on to the coding stage by installing and configuring our machines in order to develop each feature of the project. Subsequently, we ask our colleagues in the development team to review and validate the code before testing it in QA (Quality Assurance).

Furthermore, we also work on maintenance or continuously update existing websites.

According to you, what are the skills and qualities that a person must demonstrate to occupy a position like yours?

To work in web development, one must be a passionate and autonomous individual with good interpersonal skills, who enjoys working in a team and continuously learning. Of course, it is also important to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the world of IT and digital.

As web developers, we must always be in problem-solving mode, which involves developing our analytical mind to understand and resolve issues. Demonstrating creativity is another valuable asset in web development to be able to adapt to all kinds of projects. Lastly, I would add that one must not be afraid of working under pressure!

What have you learned during your years at Tink?

Since I started working at Tink, I have learned to collaborate better with colleagues, to develop my autonomy, and above all, to gain more confidence in myself. I have also started learning front-end development to add new skills to my repertoire. This has opened doors to more ambitious projects, where I have been able to add my creative and technical touch to enhance the user experience and reach new audiences.

Thanks to these complementary skills, I have been able to take on new challenges and adapt to the changing demands of the industry, while remaining true to Tink's values and vision.

What do you like about Tink, and what makes you stay?

Like many other Tinkers, I appreciate the very human side of the company. I am fortunate to work on stimulating and ambitious projects with experts in all digital fields. I can also rely on training to develop my professional practice and enjoy various social events to unwind with my colleagues!

What is your greatest professional achievement?

I would say that simply being able to work in a company that trusts me and where I feel comfortable is the most beautiful professional achievement for me! It is the best indicator of my ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment. All the trust that Tink has placed in me has allowed me to develop skills and discover new facets of my personality and capabilities. Every success, big or small, encourages me to continue improving to contribute significantly to the company's mission.

How would you describe the working atmosphere at Tink?

It's a stimulating, friendly, and relaxed environment where we are offered great flexibility in terms of remote work. I can manage my own schedule, which allows me to spend quality time with my family while remaining fully committed to my professional tasks. And there's never any pressure to show up at the office! The significant trust that Tink places in its employees to manage their schedules has not only promoted my personal development but has also strengthened my commitment to the company.

For you, working at Tink means having the opportunity to...?

Working at Tink allows me to develop professional skills to refine my practice and become a better professional every day. For example, as I mentioned earlier, I have had the opportunity to develop new skills in front-end development, which was entirely unknown to me before!

What advice would you give to future employees in your field?

Do not hesitate to open up to others to broaden your knowledge and make new connections whenever you have the opportunity. Working in web development is often done solo, so it is beneficial to reach out to others to avoid staying in your own bubble. And it is always easier to collaborate with people you know well!
