At Enbridge, we are looking for a Manager Business Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Business Development (BD) initiatives for both regulated and unregulated initiatives for Enbridge’s distribution customers. You will lead a team of highly motivated individuals to bring value through the expansion of our portfolio of energy products and services to support a sustainable energy future while preserving and expanding our natural gas distribution system.

Wjhat you will do:
  • Identify and work on M&A and BD opportunities through the oversight and preparation of initial business cases, long-term strategic rationale, and capital appropriation memos to get executive approval.

  • Develop and own the establishment of financial objectives, strategies, and activities of the Business Development team to meet corporate capital targets and maximize EBITDA for the company.

  • Further the BD team's skills through coaching, mentorship, relationship building, open communication, and collaboration.

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, safety, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.

  • Develop, maintain, and foster relationships with diverse counterparties and customers through the development, execution, and operational phases of a program.

Who you are:
  • Related university degree preferably in Business along with 8+ years of directly related experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to promote teamwork and cooperation within a group.

  • Critical thinking and the ability to withhold judgment while gathering information to inform robust and coherent decisions.

  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to listen, understand, and clearly communicate complex concepts.

  • Passion for upholding Enbridge's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and High Performance along with our ways of working.

Preferred Skills:
  • MBA or CFA designation is preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • Some travel is required for this role (10%). A valid ‘G’ License & responsible driving record will be needed.
