What will you do:
Develop commercial strategies with a primary focus on maximizing revenue and managing portfolio risk, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.
You will energize and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement in commercial performance.
Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes to inform trading strategies that enhance gross margins.
Work closely with Origination, Fundamentals, Structuring & Valuation, Tidal Energy, and Asset Performance to evaluate the Power portfolio’s generation mix and geographical diversity. Additionally, the team will coordinate analysis across the Enbridge energy consumption portfolio
Implementing risk management practices that align with Enbridge and Business Unit risk appetite and financial objectives will be crucial.
Establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with key industry partners, counterparties, and regulatory bodies to support our growth initiatives.
Who are you:
You possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus.
Proven experience with at least 8 years of experience working in electricity markets, power trading, or risk management with a focus on optimizing gross margin performance.
Understanding of energy market fundamentals, power market and power asset modelling, and mathematical modelling techniques with energy derivatives and financial risk measures.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of driving revenue improvements through pivotal initiatives.
Outstanding analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a keen understanding of financial metrics.
Ability to travel within North America 15-25%

Physical requirements include balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Mental requirements include the ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports, and communicate with individuals via telephone.
