POSITION SUMMARY

The Pre-Sales Solution Manager is involved in planning, supporting and tracking major project opportunities. The incumbent carries out market researches, addresses customer requirements and supports business development. The Pre-Sales Solution Manager formulates product solution, strategy and action plans. The Pre-Sales Solution Manager builds trusted advisor relationship with customers, helps Sales team to close major opportunities. The Pre-Sales Solution Manager works with Product Management team and R&D to develop system guidance and documentation, and facilitates internal trainings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Market research, customer demand analysis & tracking, product and solution promotion strategy and action plans formulation

  1. Track the Canadian market trends, analyze external competition and cooperation, sort out valuable customers, and extract project business opportunities.
  2. Work with regional sales, product managers and management teams to develop project market development strategies and action plans.
  3. Connect product and solution teams, to introduce market needs, clarify priorities, and provide strategic supervision of solutions, product roadmaps and major needs.

Customer visits, product and solution information synchronization, trusted advisor relationship establishment

  1. Performs sales activities with the field-based Regional Sales Manager/Business Development Manager.
  2. Identify and track key customers, synchronize the latest product and solution information according to customer attributes, track customer needs and form good interactions. Establish trusted advisor relationship with them.
  3. Provide solution training and demonstrations for key customers to improve their understanding, sales and delivery capabilities of Hikvision solutions.

Major project opportunities tracking, close won support, system delivery guidance and documentation

  1. Actively track key project opportunities which registered and reported from the field sales team.
  2. Develop overall solutions including technical proposals, solution presentations, Proof-Of-Concepts and bills of materials.
  3. Analyze and gather business requirement from large and complex client environment and performing required research and investigation to identify and improve more detailed, thorough, accurate technical solution proposals.
  4. Provide pre-sales technical expertise in analyzing client short-term and long-term requirements to ensure the solutions will accomplish our clients' goals and ensuring all clear and potential expectations are met through the delivery of the project.
  5. Document and maintain customer requirements, architecture design, technical configuration and other materials and information. Provide technical guidance and act as a mentor to the field support and delivery teams.

Product and Solution R&D team connection, pre-sales materials developing and internal field sales team training

  1. Connect with the R&D team, learn the latest product and solution knowledge and information, and make pre-sale materials suitable for the local market based on.
  2. Regularly organize training and exchanges on new products, solutions and technologies for the field sales team.

Education:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in electrical and electronics engineering, or computer engineering, or business administration and management

Experience:

5+ years of customer facing experience in a technical solution consulting, systems engineer, or presales engineering role
