Commercial Account Manager

Our client is a highly established independent insurance brokerage based in Vaughan, ON. Currently they are seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join their growing team!

Working as part of the Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and growing commercial insurance book of business. Collaborating with a talented team of underwriters, associates and clients, you will be servicing and marketing existing and new business accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing a book of business with medium to large size commercial insurance accounts
• Negotiating coverages, rates and premiums with underwriters and clients
• Creating and updating new business and renewal submissions and marketing new and existing business
• Conducting annual renewal reviews and client meetings
• Preparing claims history assessments
• Reviewing inspection reports and following up for outstanding recommendations
• Conducting risk assessments of client operations and determining appropriate coverages
• Preparing risk management strategies to improve risk exposures
• Managing accounts receivable on the accounts being handled
• Working closely with claims and clients during negotiations
• Other related duties and projects as required

REQUIREMENTS

• RIBO License
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a commercial lines department
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• In the process of completing CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Completed CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
• Familiarity with TAM
• Working knowledge and/or understanding of construction insurance

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Highly motivated with ability to work independently under limited supervision
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to mentor and train colleagues when required

COMPENSATION

• Base salary starting at $90,000 +
