Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Environmental Professional/Technical Assistant to join our team! In this role you will get to perform various duties in support of office and environmental activities in our Calgary location!

What You'll Be Doing:

Responsibilities will initially involve word processing and report formatting. Once comfortable these tasks, you will train for additional duties such as data management (assisting with preparation of spreadsheets and information summaries), Phase I Research (collecting historical information such as aerial photographs, maps, water well searches, land title searches, EUB searches), scheduling utility locates, completing borehole logs (using gINT), report writing, and miscellaneous other duties.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, geological engineering or other related programs. Degrees in administration, along with relevant trade experience, may also be considered as equivalent for the right candidate with experience in similar operations.
  • 3+ year's of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Previous experience using GINT would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently.
  • Prefer local candidates to the Calgary area. No relocation assistance.
