What will you do?

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Support the development and updates of Reliance’s treasury and corporate finance strategies based on Reliance’s requirements, stakeholders’ needs, and market environment
  • Proactively analyze internal and external key trends, identify risks and opportunities
  • Provide value-add variance analysis to drive performance and support the delivery against financial and non-financial targets
  • Partner with finance and business leaders to identify and monitor KPI’s, gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Support annual budget and strategic plan processes; responsible for developing forecasts around Reliance financing and foreign currency needs, based on historical and projected business performance, market dynamics, and other internal and external factors
  • Builds relationships and maintain effective communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the process of preparation of quarterly/yearly financial statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
  • Prepare accruals and JE’s, and partner with other Finance and Accounting team members to ensure overall integrity of financial data
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, support implementation of best practices, and drive continuous improvements

What do you bring?

  • A growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working in a financial reporting, planning and analysis capacity
  • Experience in IFRS / Accounting
  • Preference for experience in Corporate Finance, Reporting, and/or capital expenditure, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and analysis
  • Professional designation or advanced degree (CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar) or in progress
  • Self-starter and strong team player, with a sense of urgency and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic and critical thinker, resourceful with a keen attention to detail
  • Comfortable with data, developing and maintaining complex financial models
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to interpret financial results and communicate them to non-financial users
  • Experience working with SAP, Power BI, Power Query or similar ERP and reporting systems
  • Exemplifies behavior that is consistent with Reliance culture, values and leadership practices
