Global Operations Risk and Control team supports the management of operational risk, including transaction processing, fraud, business continuity, and Third Party Risk, by embedding robust risk culture through talent, metrics, and data across the operations function globally.

The Manager, Third Party Data and Reporting position is part of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Center of Excellence and is accountable for operationalizing the data and analytics capabilities for TPRM Program. This role will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of data management starting with data ingestion to designing and supporting PowerBI dashboards for end-users. Curiosity and the desire to understand the broader business context will be key elements for this role to enable business users to make data-driven decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide subject matter expertise in data management area

  • Tactical support of data validation, consolidation, and cleansing processes; systematically identify data quality issues and improve speed on resolution

  • Automate processes to improve turnaround time on data availability and increase efficiencies in recurring reporting process

  • Proactively assess, analyze, and continuously innovate all aspects of data, reporting and analytics for TPRM

  • Work closely with segment business and partners to transform business requests into value-add deliverables including data mapping, data aggregation, data cleansing & other data-related processes

Deliver reporting to support initiatives and analytics initiatives

  • Support the creation of visualizations, reports and dashboards to track strategic KRIs for key business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions

  • Accountable for business intelligence tool adoption within the business community and train business users to fully leverage business intelligence tool

  • Ensure data captured is providing an effective measure of the overall success of the Third Party Risk Management program

  • Align reporting methodologies with other key stakeholders including and not limited to Procurement, Technology, Operations and Risk Management teams

Provide data driven recommendations to Global Operational Risk team

  • Be a trusted business partner, working collaboratively with teams to optimize analysis and insights while maintaining regular communication during ongoing recurring reporting process

  • Use data to build a fact base to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of third party risk management strategies and support opportunities with insightful analytics

  • Ability to interpret data using careful business-grounded logic to identify and analyze trends to derive meaningful and actionable insights that tie directly to our business objectives

  • Champion the use of new tools and techniques to optimize data and analytics reporting capabilities

  • Able to work independently with little to no supervision, proactively taking ownership of key analytical projects and provide support in the implementation of TPRM

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in quantitative based field (e.g. Statistics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science)

  • 5+ years of experience with data analytics, data mining or statistics

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview)

  • Experience in analysis packages and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python and/or SAS

Competencies:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the integrity and confidence to liaise with executives and senior management, articulates a clear view of concepts, ideas and objectives

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate, synthesize and present complex information in a concise value-added form

  • Ability to evaluate feasibility and practicality of ideas and options, taking balanced risk approach to promote growth of ideas, comfortable in high pressure environments

  • Proven team builder and strong collaborator with the ability to build strategic partnership with internal clients and vendors; builds buy-in and engagement with key stakeholders

  • Knowledge of Procurement systems (e.g. Ivalua, Archer, Process Unity) and big data platforms, architecture and data tools a plus

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
