As the business partner for the sales regional senior leadership teams, along with being responsible for the internal reporting packages, you will be required to work with various stakeholders across the business, to ensure financial results are accurately presented. You are someone who has impeccable organizational and time management skills, as well as an ability to work effectively under pressure to ensure the ongoing timely and accurate delivery of all requisite financial reporting requirements to key internal stakeholders. You are someone who is comfortable engaging with senior leadership and working closely with them on the financial reporting and management of their teams. You pride yourself on your strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility around the accuracy and quality of your deliverables. You are confident working through ambiguity and complexity and have a keen analytical sense for seeing the forest for the trees, and presenting it concisely. You are also someone who proactively seeks opportunities to partner with the business and drive strategic decisions.

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working in the Toronto office 2 times per week.
What you’ll do:
- Finance business partnership with Sales Regional Vice Presidents, which would also include evaluating potential investments, cost-saving opportunities and growth initiatives in the regions
- Full ownership of management reporting for the supported regions (monthly and ad-hoc analysis)
- Working closely with the regional leadership and the Finance FP&A team to ensure proper alignment of forecasts, budgets and long-range planning for the supported regions.
- Developing and distributing monthly and quarterly internal management reporting packages to the executive leadership team at Softchoice.
- Drive continuous improvement in the quality of the various financial packages in collaboration with senior Finance staff, leadership team, and key stakeholders, with a lens on clarity, conciseness and consistency.
- In analyzing regional operating results, highlighting areas for improvement and making recommendations to senior leadership.
- Providing meaningful insights to key stakeholders from what may appear to be disparate datapoints and financial results.
- Partner with key business leaders to draw out meaningful insights as it pertains to the supported regions, while providing financial expertise and recommendations, in order to drive informed business decisions and actions.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to regional senior leadership team to guide strategic decision-making
- Develop, implement, monitor, and report on key regional business performance indicators.
- Monthly variance analysis and insights vs. plan, forecast and prior year.
- Occasionally mentor and coach accounting and finance personnel.
- Requires some extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
- The role is of high visibility with senior leadership and the executive team, and requires demonstrating critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills.
- The role requires the ability to tailor communication and presentations for various purposes and audiences.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 5-7+ years of finance experience and 4+ years of relevant progressive experience in a finance business partnering or management reporting role (technology industry an asset)
- Achievement orientation: high drive to produce accurate and quality deliverables
- Strong communication skills (oral and written). Ability to draw insightful conclusions from financial data and “tell the story” through presentations (slides, verbally) to key stakeholders a must
- Advanced PowerPoint & Excel skills and attention to detail. Working with large sets of data and creating meaningful and accurate reports is a strength of yours, while continuously looking for ways to bring automation to reporting
- Ability to think critically and independently problem solve through ambiguity and/or complexity
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams to produce quality deliverables and multi-task within tight timeframes
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing requirements with outstanding time management skills
- Experience with financial and reporting systems (PowerBI and SAP experience is an asset)
- MBA or CPA designation an asset.
