Job Summary


The Team
Join our Facilities, Fleet, and Business Continuity Team, an experienced group of seven professionals working remotely across the province to improve BC Wildfire Service workspaces. The Role
As a Senior Project Management Analyst, you'll lead projects that enhance BC Wildfire Service’s work environment and fire response by using project management tools, tracking budgets, and developing business cases to support program decisions. This role offers the chance to shape workflows in a dynamic, growing program that values diverse perspectives and fosters an inclusive culture.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 2 years of related experience; OR
  • Diploma in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or completed coursework in project management or a related field and 4 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Related experience includes the following:

  • Experience independently managing projects.
  • Experience in directing the work of contracted and staff resources.


Preference may be given to:

  • Experience with construction focused project management.

  • To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments and corporate structures.
  • To keep current on emerging issues.
  • To take in-house training and certification as required.
  • To fly in aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) as required.
  • To work extended hours, including weekends, and be on standby with limited notice in accordance with the preparedness plan.
  • To travel and overnight in remote locations where accommodations may vary as required.
  • To participate in Incident Command System positions as assigned.
  • To work under adverse or stressful conditions, including smoke, extreme heat and mountainous terrain in remote and isolated conditions.

About this Position:
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Flexible work options may not be available during emergency operations response periods.
An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies.
