Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk looking to join a dynamic and collaborative legal team? Our client’s Ottawa office is seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in supporting our lawyers with complex real estate transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading law firm committed to delivering exceptional client service and fostering professional growth.

Benefits & Perks

  • $75,000 - $100,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers in managing commercial real estate transactions, including conducting and analyzing title and off-title searches.
  • Coordinate with the land registry office, resolving procedural and title-related challenges promptly.
  • Organize portfolio transactions, maintain efficient communication with stakeholders, and oversee related documentation such as closing documents and final reports.
  • Contribute to purchase, sale, and financing transactions by handling due diligence, drafting key requisitions, and ensuring seamless closings.
  • Act as a collaborative team member, ensuring accurate matter and data management while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with proficiency in title searching and registration systems (e.g., Registry, Land Titles, and Polaris).
  • Education credentials such as a Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent certification, with expertise in electronic database filings and document management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, alongside strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for handling high volumes of documentation.
  • Effective communicator with professional interpersonal skills, a collaborative attitude, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Bilingual (French) skills are a plus, complemented by a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
