Electrical Field

Do you want to manage a team in the design, development and implementation of custom electrical conversion equipment solution products? Do you want to lead a team of mechanical and electrical engineering managers and their respective teams? This is what this designer and manufacturer in business for over 50 years located in the Estrie region and Toronto will allow you to do.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in transformer engineering, leadership skills and the ability to promote continuous improvement, productivity and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field.
  • Proven experience in engineering management, particularly in product development in the manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of transformer design, manufacturing processes and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership and engineering project management skills.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Innovative mindset, focused on continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands and technologies.
  • Available to travel between operating sites in Canada (Quebec and Ontario).
  • Bilingual French and English (written and spoken).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team leadership: Lead and motivate the team (10 people) to ensure the production and delivery of high-quality transformers on time.
  • Process improvement: Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality.
  • Interdisciplinary coordination: Ensure smooth communication between the electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes to improve product performance and manufacturability.
  • Production Management: Oversee the planning and execution of production schedules to meet customer demands and inventory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous measures to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Safety Culture: Promote a safety culture by ensuring all operations comply with environmental, health and safety guidelines.
  • Data Analysis: Work with the Production Manager to analyze production data, identify trends and make informed decisions to optimize production.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, train and coach team members to build a high-performing team.
  • Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with sales, customer service and logistics teams to ensure alignment of production capabilities and customer requirements.
