The Company

Our client, located in Granby, is looking for a CNC programmer to join their team. You will be responsible for machining programming on CNC machine tools and your mission will be to ensure the smooth running of programs with a view to continuous improvement. Your expertise and interest in the field will make the difference!

Your Profile

  • DEC in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in NC programming.
  • Proficiency in Catia V5 software.
  • Knowledge of the Code-G language and MS Office tools (Word, Excel).
  • Good understanding of machining methods and processes and geometric tolerancing.
  • Ability to solve technical problems and work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of Vericut and Smarteam (asset).
  • Experience as a machinist (asset).
  • Bilingualism French-English.

Your Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings and define the machining methodology of the part.
  • Program various 2 to 5-axis machine tools with Catia V5.
  • Check and adjust the geometry of the 3D model to ensure optimal results.
  • Select the appropriate cutting tools and generate clear and precise documentation for production.
  • Analyze and develop manufacturing methods to improve productivity and quality.
  • Perform cutting tool tests and write evaluations.
