Here is an opportunity for you as a production welding specialist at our client!

You will be responsible for optimizing welding processes to improve efficiency, productivity and quality. You will ensure the integrity of welded components when performing various welding tasks, mainly for the Montreal plant, and occasionally for other plants in North America.

If the following describes you :

  • Professional studies diploma in welding-assembly;
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience as a welding specialist;
  • Very good knowledge of welding equipment and materials used to weld and fabricate metal components;
  • Mastery of various welding processes, including (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW / FCAW / SAW and PAW);
  • Ability to read and interpret WPS / PQR, welding symbols and technical drawings;
  • Possess relevant welding certifications (e.g. CWB or AWS Certified Welding Inspector / Supervisor), an asset;
  • Good knowledge of welding codes such as ASME, ASTM and military, an asset;
  • Bilingualism French-English (oral and written).

  • Analyze and optimize welding procedures to improve efficiency, productivity and quality;
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of welded components by inspecting welding;
  • Identify welding issues and implement measures;
  • Provide data and support to management to ensure productivity is compliant;
  • Respect and enforce all safety protocols and procedures;
  • Participate in maintaining welding activity records;
  • Work closely with the welding engineer, engineering, production, planning and quality assurance and control teams.
