Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Brampton, ON

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and scale hybrid infrastructure across GCP and on-prem environments using Terraform.
  • Develop automation pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and Ansible for seamless deployments.
  • Write scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate tasks and improve reliability.
  • Design disaster recovery strategies to ensure rapid Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)
  • Implement end-to-end monitoring for comprehensive system observability.
  • Drive cost optimization strategies for cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior team members, offering support and knowledge to build their technical skills.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with best practices and project goals.
  • Review code and solutions, ensuring quality, reliability, and adherence to standards.

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience in SRE or DevOps, managing hybrid cloud and on-prem environments with a focus on automation and reliability.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, with modular coding practices.
  • Proficient in Python and PowerShell for creating robust automation scripts and workflows.
  • Experienced in developing automated pipelines and managing configurations to ensure efficient, reliable deployments. Experience setting up logging, tracing, and alerts to achieve comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Proven ability to design and test DR strategies to minimize MTTR and ensure business continuity.
  • Knowledge of strategies for efficient resource usage and cost-saving in hybrid environments.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering collaborative learning. Ability to provide strategic technical direction aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proficient in code and solution review to maintain quality and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
