Description
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform various administrative tasks including preparation of correspondence, reports, set up and maintenance of files, employee records, etc.
• Assist in preparation and participate in monthly employee communication meetings.
• Assist in tracking compliance requirements such as training certifications and employment eligibility verifications.
• Maintain Communication Boards and Poster Program.
• Assist in health and safety initiatives by distributing safety materials and promoting awareness.
• Administer all promotional/employee discount programs, incl. reconciliation of payments as required.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees, redirecting as necessary.
• Direct all disciplinary or significant matters of employee quality of work life to the HR Manager.
• Responsible for data entry of all employee change records (Workday and various spreadsheets).
• Coordinate and record training activities in accordance with training requirements.
• Help organize and coordinate employee engagement events, workshops, orientation and training sessions.
• Maintain form trays throughout plant and ensure sufficient supply forms at all times.
• Open as required, sort and distribute incoming company mail.
• Prepare new employee orientation packages as required.
• Provide assistance to new employees upon arrival (ie. local services, set up temp. medical coverage, accommodation, SIN's/Health Cards, etc.) in accordance with divisional relocation policy.
• Maintain safety boot and safety glasses spreadsheets, sign off invoices and follow up as required.
• Order departmental office supplies as required.
• Assist in the development/continuity of HR services.
• Offer administrative aid to the Human Resources Manager.
• Abide by and promote all handbook/divisional/legislative/corporate policies and procedures.
• Consult HR Manager if you are not 100% sure how to perform tasks in a safe manner.
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas.
• Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times.
• Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements.
• Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customers.
• Perform other related duties as required.
