The Opportunity
The Group Functions AI team is a strategic delivery partner for our corporate function teams. We are change champions using AI, GenAI, and Machine Learning techniques to unlock actionable insights, transform processes, and unlock significant value for Manulife.
Responsibilities
Partner with the VP of Group Functions AI and key collaborators to structure initiatives, measure value, and address blockers efficiently. In this role, you'll get to collaborate with various collaborators on exciting, transformative projects. Specifically, you will:
- Support the development of GenAI roadmaps for each function in coordination with the Digital Customer Leader program.
- Collaborate with project leads, managers, and senior collaborators to align and achieve program goals through effective communication and teamwork.
- Challenge program timelines, deliverables and resources in partnership with IT and function partners, to accelerate results where possible.
- Share frequent updates on program advancement with senior leadership and aid the VP, Group Functions AI, in decision-making.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure the integration of GenAI technologies aligns with business goals and enhances operational efficiencies.
- Monitor market trends and technological advancements to inform program strategies and anticipate future needs.
- Ensure that all teams adhere to established standards, including AAMDF, to maintain consistency and quality across all program initiatives.
- Identify risks and threats to program success, develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, and coordinate resolution efforts.

What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in program management and complex projects delivery, preferably in AI or technology-related fields
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies and roadmaps for innovative technologies
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks in large-scale programs
- Experience in coordinating with multiple teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Understanding of AI technologies and their applications in business
- Expertise in managing both waterfall and agile project methodologies; PMP or CSM designation would be an asset
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex programs
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior partners

Primary Location
Working Arrangement
Salary range is expected to be between
$105,750.00 CAD - $190,350.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
