Are you a driven university student ready for a summer adventure in the world of Group Benefits Long-Term Disability? Join us as a Long Term Disability Co-op/Intern for Summer 2025 with Manulife Group Benefits! You will connect with Plan Members, Plan Sponsors, the Medical Community and Vendor Partners in this exciting role, delivering exceptional disability claims management for our clients.
Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with Case Managers, Disability Specialists and Associate Managers
Make follow-up phone calls and/or send written communication to Plan Members, Plan Sponsors, medical professionals and vendors
Reach out to Plan Members by phone to complete functional telephone interviews
Keep claim files up-to-date and accurate
Support payment of invoices
Update Plan Member banking information
Required Qualifications:
You are currently studying in an undergraduate program like Nursing, Health Sciences, or Mental Health.
You have great organizational skills and can communicate well both in writing and speaking.
You are comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
You can manage working on your own and love being part of a team.
You are good at juggling multiple tasks at once.
You have some basic knowledge about claims processing and health insurance.
You have had some experience in customer service or administrative work.

Dans ce rôle passionnant, vous serez en contact avec les participants aux régimes collectifs, les promoteurs de régimes, des professionnels de la santé ainsi que différents partenaires et fournisseurs, offrant un service exceptionnel à nos clients.
Responsabilités du rôle:
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les gestionnaires de dossiers d’invalidité de longue durée, les spécialistes en invalidité ainsi que l’équipe de directrices-adjointes.
Effectuer des appels de suivi et/ou envoyer des communications écrites aux participants et promoteurs de régimes collectifs, aux professionnels de la santé et aux fournisseurs.
Contacter les participants par téléphone pour réaliser des entrevues téléphoniques.
Tenir les dossiers à jour, avec minutie et précision.
Procéder au paiement de factures.
Mettre à jour les informations bancaires des participants.
Qualifications requises :
Vous êtes actuellement étudiant dans un programme de premier cycle comme les sciences infirmières ou tout programme lié aux sciences de la santé (physique ou mentale).
Vous êtes une personne organisée et minutieuse, et vous pouvez bien communiquer à l'écrit comme à l'oral.
Vous êtes à l'aise avec Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Vous êtes capable de travailler de manière autonome et aimez faire partie d'une équipe.
Vous savez gérer plusieurs tâches à la fois.
Vous avez des connaissances de base en gestion de réclamation (invalidité, santé, etc.)
Vous avez une certaine expérience dans le service à la clientèle ou le travail administratif.

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
