The Video Producer/Editor is a media content creator and specialist. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for storytelling through video and will be responsible for producing, shooting, and editing high-quality video content for use across an array of internal and external communications platforms. This individual will use their strong passion for storytelling to ideate, capture, and edit engaging content for a wide range of global communication needs, including content featuring our Global CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members, sizzle reels and hype videos for use during live events, and social media assets for use on Corporate and executive channels. With a thorough understanding of how video presents communications opportunities, this role will work closely with designers, global video producers, and writers to create unique content for internal and external viewing. This individual will work directly with the Director of Videography and the Global Communications team and must be highly collaborative, excel in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The proven ability to independently produce, shoot, and edit videos.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring emotional, visually captivating stories to life through multimedia.
  • Review creative briefs, develop storyboards, plan for production, and lead video shoots.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision and adept at skills necessary to service the company’s video and media needs. This includes staying knowledgeable on the latest and most efficient techniques, tools, and video trends.
  • Source and maintain the in-house studio programs and equipment, ensuring video production is efficient and meets quality expectations.
  • Expert experience with the Adobe Suite: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition & Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated ability in all elements of modern field and studio production.
  • Proven ability in lighting design, videography, and sound recording in alignment with modern industry equipment and workflows.
  • Ability to communicate and direct on camera talent effectively and professionally.
  • Knowledge of different aspect ratios, CODECS, styles and standards for different platforms.
  • Develop and shoot Global B-roll of our office environment, colleague engagement, and special events to showcase our winning team and culture.
  • A background in photography is an asset, but not required.

Individual Accountabilities:

Video planning, production, and editing:

  • Translate the various requirements of the project into a finished video that incorporates its needs, while adhering to brand guidelines and quality standards. This process includes producing, shooting and/or editing, as well as distribution (encoding/compressing for web, devices, etc.). Areas of focus include CEO and ELT led videos, global colleague engagement events, social media videos, customer success stories, and other internal and external requests as needed.
  • Shoot and edit photos, including portrait headshots, architecture, landscapes, event coverage
  • and product.

Audio recording and editing:

  • Record and edit audio for production shoots, voice over, phone systems, event coverage,
    and animation.

Equipment and program maintenance:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the various hardware and software equipment and systems needed
    (i.e., cameras, production equipment, edit systems, etc.).

Essential Shared Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates good judgment during issue identification and escalation process.
  • Strong understanding and supporter of process, establishing the framework to guide the teams from strategy/concept development, through to creative process, onwards to design execution.
  • Partners and plans with Global Communications team on integrated projects and deliverables.
  • Contributes to global community of videographers and creatives, sharing and learning from best practices and latest brand guidelines.

Salary range is expected to be between

$70,350.00 CAD - $117,250.00 CAD
