SUMMARY:

The incumbent's responsibility is to oversee and coordinate the operations of the project Procurement team. This team is accountable for purchasing equipment and granting specific service contracts linked to construction and renovation projects

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises team members and coordinates Procurement activities related to projects.

- Assigns new projects, both self and team assigned.

- Attends project kick-off meetings and Procurement meetings.

- Procures his/her own projects as a buyer.

- Ensures that Procurement policies and processes are respected.

- Ensures compliance with National Agreements and the Supplier incentive program for purchases made by his/her team.

- Reviews and approves tender documents prior to issuance.

- Reviews bid analysis spreadsheets and approves buyers’ recommendations.

- Reviews requests for waivers drafted by his/her team before they are submitted for approval.

- Assists in maintaining each banner's catalog of technical data sheets and reference documents used   by his/her team.

- Completes all other related tasks

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or College’s degree in an appropriate field.

- Five years of experience in Procurement or a related field.

- Experience in Personnel Management is an asset

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.

- Knowledge of SAP is an asset

- Knowledge of food and pharmaceutical equipment is an asset

- Knowledge of refrigeration systems is an asset

- Knowledge of blueprint reading is an asset
