A career as a Director of Financing Operations in the Commercial Financing Operations team at National Bank means acting as a leader in the management of a team of +/- 25 employé.es at different levels. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your experience in people management, your coaching and human development skills, as well as your effectiveness in creating partnerships.
The teams' mandate is to analyze the requests of our Sales Force partners during their clients' commercial financing needs to prepare the legal documentation, then apply the conditions and disbursement authorizations while ensuring the compliance of the files.
Your job
  • Manage a team of employees by creating a climate conducive to motivation and the achievement of the objectives set by consolidating your leadership role
  • Maximize staff input by setting performance goals that will lead your team to excel while ensuring follow-up and execution
  • Ensure the development of your employees and develop their skills through personalized coaching with a view to succession for the organization
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with the various stakeholders involved in the department's activities in order to optimize relations
  • Implement management and operations strategies and ensure the development and implementation of appropriate work systems and processes with the aim of improving the efficiency, productivity, quality and profitability of your sector
  • Participate in operational changes and identify irregularities in operations, systems or equipment while ensuring the implementation of permanent corrective measures
  • Prepare and monitor the business plan for your sector aligned with the Bank's strategic directions
  • Be on the lookout for new technologies and work processes that can increase the centre's productivity and reduce operating costs

Within the Corporate Finance Operations sector, you will be part of a large team of more than 200 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Financing Operations. Prerequisite
  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or industry-related master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in managing staff and operations teams
  • Experience in process and operations optimization
  • Experience in planning and organizing work based on volume, resources and priorities
  • Experience in operational performance management (KPI, deadlines, quality) and collective performance (synergy and teamwork)
  • Excellent change management skills
  • Dashboard understanding and monitoring skills
  • Communication and team mobilization skills
  • Ability to influence and rally the various stakeholders and partners
