A career as a Senior Analyst, Business Performance in the Initiative Portfolio Management and Business Strategy team at National Bank, means acting as an expert in analyzing and monitoring the progress of the business plan and the portfolio of strategic initiatives for Wealth Management. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organization and contribute actively to the Wealth Management transformation by supporting senior management in decision-making and the execution of our strategic initiatives and business plan.  

 

Your role

  • Develop tools and implement dashboards and indicators to monitor the performance of the business plan and the health of the portfolio of strategic initiatives.
  • Collect, compile and verify the accuracy of data from multiple sources.
  • Track, measure, analyze and interpret the information gathered to explain variances, identify risks and issues, and make recommendations to support decision-making and enable management to take corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of reports and presentations while ensuring the quality of information.
  • Perform complex analyses to support the prioritization of initiatives and the monitoring of sector performance.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with various internal and external stakeholders likely to provide information relevant to the completion of analyses and the production of performance reports.
  • Accompany and support the team in strategic planning and portfolio management activities (portfolio reviews, benefits and value delivery tracking, capacity and interdependency management, etc.).
  • Standardize and optimize performance monitoring processes and tools for Wealth Management and influence pan-bank practices, together with our partners.
  • Work in collaboration with our partners to actively manage the portfolio of initiatives, implement the train model and support delivery teams in applying practices, using tools and monitoring performance indicators.
 

Your team: 

In the sector, you are part of a dynamic and passionate team of six colleagues and report to the Senior Manager, Initiative Portfolio Management & Business Strategy. Our team is at the heart of the transformation and works closely with Wealth Management business lines, partners and other sectors to deliver the business plan and manage actively the portfolio of strategic initiatives. Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry (Finance, Administration, IT or Operations Management) and 7 years of relevant experience or Master's degree related to the industry and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Wealth Management sector and/or investment
  • In-depth knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint tools
  • Experience in developing KPIs and dashboards
  • Rigor and excellent analytical and synthesis skills
  • Knowledge of project management and project financial performance
  • Strong team spirit, interpersonal and collaboration skills
