Description

This role is to support a Tier 1 Banking client through a legacy Cloud migration to AWS.

Senior technologist/Application Architect will be working existing technology leadership and Senior Principal Engineers on the overall approach to the migration from current state (Heroku with some AWS) to target state (AWS environment)
Requires detailed technical engagement in current and target state of the core platform
Will be involved in determining target state to meet platform requirements and comply with banking requirements for security. Leveraging existing banking Cloud components, as well as working with Cloud team to develop components required for the migration that do not exist today.
Responsible for outlining the order of migration steps, handing off execution to AppDev and DevOps team members, troubleshooting technical issues with the migration and working with technology leadership for executive stakeholdering, program governance and tech risk governance
Key deliverables
Detailed technical approach to the migration
Target state mapping of current state elements including identification of gaps in current Cloud capabilities
