Int. Event Coordinator to plan and execute events for a large banking client - 70349


Duration: 24 months (possibility of conversion)

Location: Onsite - Downtown Toronto (candidate must be willing to occasionally travel within Canada to manage event programs)


Role Mandate: Under the direction of the Head, Wealth Management & Enterprise Events, this job is accountable for creating and delivering consistently great client experiences through the planning and execution of events, both internal and external, for the client. These events are highly visible and involve interaction with clients as well as senior-level executives. The role has responsibility for managing budgets, logistics, engaging business partners, managing internal and external communications, executing, and tracking and reporting results. Must represent the organization with professionalism, courtesy and integrity.


Must-Have Skills:

• 2-3 years experience in event management

• Ability to effectively manage large, complex budgets

• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Adobe Acrobat

• Awareness of financial services competitive marketplace and trends,


Nice to Have Skills:

• University Degree

• Event Planning College Certification


Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as a contact for, and interact with, senior executives and clients as they participate in events and conferences

• Interact with senior executives through briefings and meetings as they participate in events and conferences

• Design and delivery of consistently great client experiences

• Provide guidance and recommendations as well as execution for internal & external conferences and events in support of cross-border groups.

• Develop and obtain required budget and client strategy approvals from executives

• Assist in the development and execution of annual event strategies to meet business objectives

• Prepare briefing materials and coordinate event schedules for senior executives

• Develop and manage event calendars

• Assist in the development and implementation of event tracking mechanisms to assess program effectiveness and alignment with overall strategic goals

• Provide credible advice and support to senior executives during events and internal conferences

• Identify and assess competitor conferences and events

• Selection and oversight of promotional merchandise used at events
