Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for an Intermediate Instructional Designer with Articulate 360 experience to develop content for a customer support center of excellence.


Location: Hybrid (1 day/week onsite - Tuesday) Brampton

Duration: 6 Months, to start


The Instructional Designer is primarily responsible for development and creation of training materials for the Customer Support Centre of Excellence (CoE). This includes the ongoing updating and refinement of existing training materials executed within training programs utilizing feedback from functional areas, SMEs and internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Working with operational and functional subject matter experts.
  • Design and development of training for the CoE:


o This will include:

  • Collecting existing training materials and adapting them as necessary to meet CoE requirements and standards.
  • Designing new training to address emerging needs.
  • Modifying training over time to conform to changing business needs.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to support training activities executed within a technical training environment.


  • Designing materials and programs that adhere to adult learning principles and other parameters of program design.
  • As part of curriculum design, determine the most effective delivery method to ensure that learners experience the most effective training approach given differing content and training objectives.
  • Adhere to curriculum development work plans, monitoring and maintaining targets for overall program delivery.
  • Coordinate activities associated with training delivery, facilitate train-the-trainer sessions, and participate in pilot training sessions when necessary.
  • Work with various facilitation teams to ensure program roll outs are optimized and timely, reaching all markets and banners as required.


Must Haves:

  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Build Storyline content
  • Designing and creating engaging curriculum and materials for adult learners using multiple modes of delivery and engagement techniques
  • eLearning and video authoring tools with a preference for experience with Articulate 360
  • Call Centre experience, preferably in the banking or retail industries
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems


Nice to Haves:

  • CTDP certification or equivalent is a plus
