Our Calgary client is looking for an SAP Functional Consultant specializing in Asset Accounting and Financial Accounting to asses current Capital Asset Lifecycle & Financial Posting workflows for a post SAP Rise implementation

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant in large enterprises (Fortune 500 preferred).
• Expertise in SAP Asset Accounting (AA) and SAP Financial Accounting (FI) with a focus on capital asset lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to assess and analyze existing SAP FI/AA configurations, identify gaps, and recommend best practices.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA , Rise or ECC, particularly in optimizing Asset Accounting processes for financial compliance.
• Experience with to SAP CO (Controlling) and Fixed Asset Reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial posting, asset tracking, depreciation, transfers, and retirements within SAP.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in large-scale SAP implementations, system assessments, or process reengineering.
• Previous consulting experience with Big 4 firms or similar enterprise-level organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the current SAP FI/AA setup, identifying inefficiencies, misconfigurations, and process gaps.
• Conduct end-to-end evaluations of capital asset lifecycle management processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Recommend and implement improvements for financial posting, asset tracking, and depreciation workflows.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to align SAP functionality with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance on best practices for capital asset reporting and financial integration within SAP.
• Lead or support the SAP S/4HANA migration, ensuring a smooth transition for Asset Accounting and financial postings.
