Senior Business Analyst to assist with the enhancement and upgrade of a legacy insurance technology platform for our public-sector client (Req RQ00424)

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist with the enhancement and upgrade of a legacy insurance technology platform

Candidates can be 100% remote in Canada.

Must haves:

• 7+ years as a Business Analyst with experience with software development projects (COTS, in-house, SaaS)
• Experience working in the insurance industry
• Undergraduate Degree or certification in Business Analysis (CBAP certification)
• Experience documenting requirements and recommending system alternatives/enhancements

Nice to haves:

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives.
• Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
• Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, and application subsystems.
• Develop data dictionary.
• Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems.
• Identify candidate business processes for re-design, prototype potential solutions, provide trade-off information and suggest a recommended course of action. Identify the modifications to the automated processes.
• Establish acceptance test criteria with our Client.
• Support and use the selected departmental methodologies including but not limited to IIBA BABOK, SAFe Agile
