Our client is seeking a SR Business Analyst with OUCCS experience to implement and new billing system


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Certified Business Analyst to join a major utilities program that will replace the legacy tariff billing system with a new SaaS offering of Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) and Meter Data Management (MDM). The successful candidate will play a key role in business process design, data cleansing, testing, and change management workstreams for a project that will last between 24 and 36 months.

Location:

The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week.


Responsibilities:
  • Participate in design sessions with the systems integrator and internal teams to validate and align business processes.
  • Validate business processes and decisions across the Gas and Electric Distribution Utilities, escalating issues as needed.
  • Analyze data cleansing reports and collaborate with business leads to prioritize and manage data cleanup efforts.
  • Provide input into test management plans and validate test scenarios.
  • Contribute to the Requirements Traceability Matrix as required.
  • Assist the Change Management Lead with activities related to Program start-up, including project planning, KPI/metric development, and dashboard planning.
  • Work with the Change Management workstream to identify, assess, and report on the impact of business process changes on end-user roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist the Training workstream by contributing insights from business process design into training plans and materials.

Must-Haves:
  • 7+ years of experience in a business analyst role with a proven progression of responsibilities.
  • Business Analyst certification required (preference for IIBA designations).
  • Strong process modeling skills with software such as iGraphx, Visio, etc.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Intermediate to strong skills using Jira.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Utilities experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Business Analytics.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in producing concise reports and presentations.
  • Broad knowledge of Customer Care and Billing processes from an end-to-end perspective, and familiarity with utility business processes and systems.
  • Experience with Power BI and dashboard development.
